Datin Dr. Thema Abdul Majid obtained her medical degree from the University of Science, Malaysia (USM) and trained in Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry at Penang General Hospital and University of Malaya Hospital.
Recognising the powerful mind–body connection, Dr. Thema pursued clinical hypnotherapy as a complementary approach to healthcare. She integrates medical expertise with evidence-based hypnotherapy to support clients in overcoming self-defeating patterns and achieving sustainable mental and physical well-being.
Dr. Thema is the President of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Hypnosis and serves as Medical Director of LCCH Asia. She is a member of the Malaysian Medical Association and the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and runs a busy private practice with an international clientele as a Consultant Hypnotherapist at the LSCCH Therapy Centre.
Beyond clinical work, Dr. Thema is a senior lecturer at LCCH Asia, where she trains aspiring hypnotherapists, including medical doctors. She has also lectured at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, and leads workshops and corporate programmes on resilience and mental well-being.
Dr. Thema remains deeply committed to integrating clinical hypnotherapy as a medical adjunct, empowering individuals to bridge the mind–body connection and achieve lasting, holistic change.
