Dr. Chen Siow Wei is a registered medical doctor with over a decade of clinical experience in Malaysia’s public and private healthcare sectors. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Brawijaya University and completed his early medical training at major tertiary hospitals, including Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, and Hospital Serdang.
Through years of frontline clinical practice, Dr. Chen developed a deep appreciation for the intricate connection between physical health, mental well-being, and human behaviour. This insight led him to pursue extensive training in Neuro-Semantics, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Clinical Hypnotherapy, becoming a Master Practitioner in these disciplines.
Dr. Chen is particularly passionate about helping individuals who struggle with emotional distress, anxiety, trauma, psychosomatic symptoms, and stress-related conditions. He integrates evidence-based medical knowledge with hypnotherapy and structured therapeutic communication to support patients in achieving meaningful behavioural change, emotional regulation, and psychological resilience.
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Chen observed a significant rise in mental distress across all age groups. He is committed to bridging this gap by providing a compassionate, non-judgemental space where patients feel heard, understood, and supported.
Currently serving as Doctor-in-Charge at Klinik Chen, Dr. Chen continues to dedicate his practice to preventive care, mental wellness, and mind–body medicine. His mission is to empower individuals not only to recover from distress, but to regain clarity, confidence, and control over their lives.
